Environment
The environment is important to us, which is why as hosts we provide you with the means to respect the environment. As travelers you also have a role in adopting eco-responsible behavior in the RedLounge.
Heating and hot water
I close the shutters and curtains in the evening to limit heat loss and improve my comfort.
The ideal temperature in the main room is 19°C. If it exists, I look at the thermometer provided and if it is too hot, I turn down the heating before opening the windows.
To ventilate, 5 minutes is enough to renew the air without cooling the room.
If they are available, I follow the explanatory notes for the regulation system in order to use it optimally (thermostat, thermostatic valves, etc.).

Electricity
I turn off the light when leaving a room, even if it is a low-energy lamp.
Audiovisual devices consume as much in standby as in operation.
If power strips have been made available, I think about turning them off.
If the instructions for the household appliances are available, I think about selecting the most economical programs (which are not always the shortest).

Water
To save water, I prefer a shower rather than a bath.
I don't leave the water running while I brush my teeth.
Three minutes with an open tap, that’s 18 liters of drinking water going straight into the drain.
If the accommodation is equipped with a dishwasher, it is not necessary to rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.

Waste
I respect the sorting criteria that have been made available.
I favor products with little or no packaging, especially when going to local shops and markets.
In nature as in the city, I only throw away my waste in the places provided for this purpose.
